Visit of the Algerian Lecturers to Our Department and New Collaboration Opportunities
Algerian lecturers visited our Department on 19 December 2023, Tuesday. Dr. Sofiane MAZA (University Mohamed El Bachir El Ibrahimi of Bordj Bou Arreridj’den) and Dr. Samia DRISSI (University Mohamed Cherif Messaadia Souk-Ahras, Algeria Faculty of Science and Technology, Computer Science Department) also shared information about their thesis work and expressed their wish to cooperate with the students of the Department of Informatics.
During the interview, Dr. Samia DRISSI also shared two ongoing doctoral thesis topics that students of the Department of Informatics can contribute to and work on if they want to collaborate:
- Predicting learners at risk of dropping out in MOOCs based on deep learning
- Intelligent personalized assistance to minimize learner dropout rates in MOOCS
Dr. Samia DRISSI's research interests are e-Learning, Intelligent Tutoring Systems, MOOCs, Adaptive Hypermedia, Personalized Learning, Game-based Learning, Learning Strategies, Learning Analytics, Semantic Web, Artificial Intelligence.
